This seminar was co-organized by CSE and ZEF in Dakar, Senegal, to share the scientific results of their research collaboration which aimed to:

• provide a clear understanding of the agroforestry expend across the African continent by carrying out remote sensing-based mapping of past, current and future agroforestry areas in Africa
• assess the direct ecosystem benefits and indirect socio-economic benefits of agroforestry, contributing to sustainable food systems, poverty reduction, and employment in the context of climate change adaptation and mitigation.
